The Puma x Rugrats collection is available now and is full of nostalgia for the 90s • GEEKSPIN
Rugrats turns 30 this year, and to help celebrate this milestone, Puma has teamed up with Nickelodeon for a collection of co-branded shoes and clothing inspired by the popular ’90s animated series.
Officially called the Puma Hoops x Rugrats Collection, the collaboration consists of three styles of sneakers and four pieces of clothing that can be worn by children and adults.
The three styles of shoes featured in the collection are the Puma x Rugrats Court Rider basketball shoe ($ 110), Puma x Rugrats suede trainers ($ 40- $ 55), and the Puma x Rugrats Future Rider sneakers ($ 65). The Puma x Rugrats Court Rider is available in adult size, while the Suede and Future Rider models are available in child size.
The collection is rounded out with a range of men’s basketball apparel including t-shirts ($ 40), long-sleeved t-shirts ($ 45), hoodies ($ 75), and shorts ($ 65 $). Much like the collaboration’s shoes, these garments feature a ’90s-centric colourway that takes direct inspiration from the familiar style. Rugrats logo and characters like Tommy, Chuckie, Phil and Lil, Angela, Susie, Kimi, Dil, Reptar and Spike. Unfortunately, all the clothes in the collection are only available in adult size.

Created by Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó and Paul Germain, Rugrats focuses on a group of toddlers and their daily lives, usually involving life experiences that turn into much bigger adventures in the imaginations of the main characters. The series premiered on August 11, 1991 and ran for nine seasons on Nickelodeon until the series finale on August 1, 2004. It received a total of six Emmy nominations during its Air: Animated Program exceptional in 1997 and 1999 and exceptional Children’s program from 1999 to 2002.
