Meet Michael Jordan’s three oldest children, all grown up
When Michael jordan was at the height of his career in the 1990s, he had young children waiting for him at home after his many games and six championship wins with the Chicago Bulls. And now, all these years later, Michael Jordan’s three children from his first marriage are well into adulthood. A little hard to believe, right?
Michael has three children –Jeffrey, Marcus, and Jasmine jordan– with his ex-wife Juanita vanoy. Vanoy and Michael were married from 1989 to 2006. In 2013 he married Yvette Prieto and in 2014 they welcomed twins, Ysabel and Victoria, who are now seven years old.

Michael’s first child is Jeffrey Michael Jordan, born in 1988, four years after his father joined the NBA. In a 2020 interview with the Chicago TribuneJeffrey shared that in some ways being the son of Michael Jordan was “normal.”
âRelationship wise, you would go through your normal battles with your siblings, your mom, your dad, just like that,â he says. “But from a social point of view, it was far from normal or anything you can imagine.” Jeffrey also shared that he arrived in Paris with the Bulls as a child, although most of the time he focused on his studies. âI flew with the team and met some of my idols,â he said. âDuring the season we couldn’t go to away games. My mother was a brawler. School was above all.
Like, his father, Jeffrey became a basketball player, but he did not turn professional. Jeffrey played in college at the University of Illinois, then at the University of Central Florida. Currently, he is responsible for digital innovation for the Jordan brand, which is part of Nike. He also co-founded Jordan Akavian Group, an investment and advisory firm for entrepreneurs and new businesses.
Jeffrey was married to his wife, Radina Aneva, since May 2019.
Michael’s next oldest son is 30-year-old Marcus James Jordan. When Marcus and his siblings were interviewed by the Today show in 2020 about The last dance, a documentary about Michael and the six Chicago Bulls Championships in the 1990s, he placed his birth in the context of his father’s career.
âI was born on Christmas Eve 1990,â Marcus said, âso I like to think I was the lucky one who started the championship in the 90s.â
Like his brother, Marcus also played basketball at the University of Central Florida. And he inadvertently caused a scandal during his stay. At an exhibition match, Marcus wore Jordans instead of Adidas shoes, even though Adidas was the school’s sponsor. In an interview with Complex in 2016, Marcus said the school told him he was allowed to wear the shoes, but Adidas disagreed and withdrew his $ 3 million contract. Then Nike stepped in as a sponsor.
Now Marcus is still closely involved with sneakers. He is the owner of the Trophy Room sneaker and clothing store, which is named after his father’s trophy room in their family home.

Next in order of birth is Jasmine Mickael Jordan, who is 28 years old. In the same Today show interview, Jasmine shared that she didn’t understand how important her father was until she was a preteen. âI think I was 10 or 11 when I finally Google it,â she said, âand I was trying to figure out why everyone was so obsessed and why not everyone thought not that he just had a regular job like me. So it definitely took a minute for it to hit me. But, no kidding, I went google it and thought, okay, now I get it. “Jasmine added that her parents” made sure we grew up normally and didn’t see him differently. “
Jasmine is an alumnus of Syracuse University, where she studied sports management. Now she uses that degree as the basketball operations coordinator for the Charlotte Hornets, the team owned by her father.
Jasmine is engaged to Christmas rakeem, who played basketball in Syracuse before joining the Taiwan Super Basketball League. They have a two-year-old son together – Michael’s first grandson.
Michael doesn’t give too many interviews, especially about his personal life, but in 2007 he and Jeffrey appeared on the Today show together and talked about the college freshman who was starting to play college basketball. “I want him to be his own person, you know?” Michael said at the time. “I want him to enjoy his life, no matter what he chooses to be that, you know? If you play basketball, you’re a doctor, you’re a lawyer, whatever, I’ll support you with the love and all the effort, every square inch of my body. “
