Fresh YEEZY, Nike Dunks, and more
If there’s anyone making waves in the sneaker world today, it’s Travis Scott.
Shortly after rumors of a potential Air Trainer 1 release, it turns out that the rapper, sneakerhead and designer could also release a deadly pair of Air Jordan 1 OG Lows (pictured below) in the coming months. Until we hear more about it, there are other new sneakers this week that are just as worth your attention.
Kanye and adidas, for starters, will have a busy week with not one, but two outings this week. The adidas YEEZY BOOST 700 MNVN, which has been teased for months, will finally be released in a striking ‘Honey Flux’ colourway. Fans of the Adidas YEEZY BOOST 700 V2 will also appreciate the “Mauve” release which could take place this week.
Other sneakers we’re considering include Nike’s tribute to Gundam, some very fall New Balances, and a Steve Aoki x Zegna collaboration.
Here are all the new sneakers coming out in the third week of September 2021, with all the details you need to know.
Adidas YEEZY BOOST 700 V2 “Mauve”
When: September 25, 2021 (unconfirmed)
Shop: Adidas confirmed application
Price: 240 USD (around S $)
Still thinking about that ‘Geode’ colorway from 2019, but you don’t want to get cut off on StockX? These new “Mauve” iterations are a nice alternative, featuring a similar, muted shade of brown that comes with black suede overlays on the toes, heels, and mudguards. The BOOST midsoles are rendered in the same matching brown tone, instead of black as on the ‘Geode’. Reflective details are still plentiful here; you will find them on the lace, the quarters and the heels.
Adidas YEEZY BOOST 700 MNVN “Honey Flow”
When: September 20, 2021
Shop: Adidas confirmed application, Dover Street Market Singapore
Price: 349 USD
After months of teasing, the 700 MNVN “Honey Flux” finally drops today. Like the rest of the colourways on this model, this one is also motorsport inspired, with an upper that rendered a shocking shade of titular yellow and reflective 3M “700” branding in silver. Black contrasting details on the tongue, laces and sockliner add even more sportiness to the look, as do black sculpted BOOST midsoles and matching outsoles.
‘Gundam’ x Nike SB Dunk High “Project Unicorn White”
When: September 24, 2021
Shop: Nike SNKRS
Price: 179 USD
It has been 15 years since the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn series, and celebrations are the order of the day. For sneaker and anime fans, the party starts with these Dunks, inspired by the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam from its protagonist Banagher Links in Destroy mode. Here, the premium white leather upper is highlighted with bright red piping details and can be switched with interchangeable Swooshes, which resemble the Unicorn Gundam horn. The white midsoles are also lined with red stitching, with black rubber outsoles to match the robot colourway. Along with the Swoosh alternatives, you’ll also get a sheet of decals to play with, just like you would with the template kits.

New Balance’s sneaker revivals over the past year have put it back on the run and it’s not about to stop anytime soon. Another retro-inspired shoe that has resurfaced is the 997H, a lightweight sneaker known for its comfort, but this time in color-block for an even more old-school touch.
“Spruce / Gold” will see shades of green, blue, gray and yellow meet a subtle gold “N” logo on the side, while “Burgundy / Navy” sports both dark shades and a yellow “N” logo. Whichever you choose, both versions are perfect for fall.
Zegna x Steve Aoki triple stitched sneakers

Not content with transforming Bulgari watches, Grammy-nominated DJ, producer, designer and entrepreneur Steve Aoki, joined Zegna’s global Modern Voices community, but this time putting her mark on her Triple Stitch Sneaker.
